Do you travel to Moncton?
No. Our shuttle is licensed for service in Nova Scotia and Prince
Edward Island only; we cannot offer service to New Brunswick.
Can I be dropped off in Truro, Amherst or another destination?
No. PEI Express is licensed strictly as an “express” shuttle
that must, by law, drop passengers off with Halifax boundaries.
We may not drop off at any location outside of Halifax Regional
Municipality.
Is there a discount for booking round-trip?
No. We aim to keep our fares as low and competitively priced
as possible, so even if you are booking round-trip with us, you
may find our rates are better than the so-called discount that other
companies offer for round-trips.
Can I bring extra luggage?
Yes—if space permits, we would be happy to carry extra luggage
and at no extra cost. Please be specific about the size and quantity
of extra items you wish to bring when you make your reservation
and we will let you know if we will be able to accommodate your
request.
Can I reserve the front seat?
Yes, the front and other special seating requests can be made.
Reserved seating is honoured on a first-reserve basis. Please discuss
any concerns you may have with us when you make your reservation.
Should I tip my driver?
As is standard in the service industry in North America gratuities
are very much appreciated by our drivers, but the practice is certainly
not mandatory. If you are pleased with your driver’s service, a
tip of $3 to $5 would be reasonable and warmly received.
Can I be picked up or dropped off in Cornwall, Hunter River
or another location in PEI?
When we are operating at peak times, such as the summer months
or on holiday weekends, we may be able to accommodate requests for
other locations in PEI. However, these stops are not standard and
are not available at all times. Please discuss your request with
us.
What are your pick up boundaries in Halifax?
The best answer is just call us and ask...but here are some general
guidelines and suggestions for central pick up spots throughout
the city.
- For Eastern Passage residents: the Tim Horton’s at
Woodside
- Herring Cove or St. Margaret’s Bay Road residents:
the Esso station near the Armdale Rotary or the Tim Horton’s
at Halifax Shopping Centre
- Customers from Tantallon or the South Shore:
the Future Inn, Bayers Lake
- Hammonds Plains residents: the Holiday Inn on Kearney
Lake Road or the Tim Horton’s at Hammonds Plains Road/Bedford
Highway—depending on where you live in Hammonds Plains!
- Residents of Sackville or those travelling in from
the Annapolis Valley: the Arby’s in Bedford...it is located
just off the highway when driving in from Sackville or the Valley.
